Laurie Evans fell asleep 23/10/98 aged 48 hours old. A much wanted and loved daughter to Joanne and Billy. A loved twin sister of Anisha. A longed for grandaughter, great grandaughter, neice and cousin. Laurie was born 21st October 1998 11;48am. Laurie had a heart defect that went undetected till she was 8 hours old. She was then transferred to the Freeman Hospital were they couldnt help her either altho they tried. There we had to make the the most hardest life changing decision any parent had to make. At 09;56am 23rd October 1998 the life supporting machines were turned off and Laurie fell asleep in he arms of me and her daddy. Laurie returned with me to Sunderland Royal were we were able to just hold her and look at her stroking her tiny perfect face. Too perfect for this world. From that day our lives changed it was hard enjoying Anisha being a baby as we were afraid that 1 day she would be taken too. Anisha is now a healthy typical 8 year old girl who also misses Laurie so much. A little angel who was loned not given. Every day we love and miss you more. Sleep tight our perfect angel. There's something in a simple hug that always warms the heart.
it welcomes us back home and makes it easier to part.
A hug's a way to share the joy and sad times we go through,
or just a way for friends to say they like you 'cause you're you.
Hugs are meant for anyone, for whom we really care,
from your grandma to your neighbor, or a cuddly teddy bear.
A hug is an amazing thing. It's just the perfect way
to show the love we're feeling but can't find the words to say.
It's funny how a little hug makes everyone feel good
in every place and language, it's always understood.
And hugs don't need new equipment, special batteries or parts
just open up your arms and open up your hearts.
